October is Fundraise for Farley month. We at KMVH are excited to show our support as the Farley Foundation has been there for us many times in the past. For anyone hearing about this amazing organization for the first time, this post is for you!

The Farley Foundation was established in 2002 by the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association as a way for veterinarians to give back to their communities. The Farley Foundation helps low-income pet owners in Ontario by subsidizing the cost for non-elective vet care for their sick or injured pets. Since their establishment, the Farley Foundation has disbursed more than $6 million to help almost 14,000 pets in need.

 We in the veterinary field recognize the profound impact the human-animal bond has on human health and well-being. This is especially true for people facing hardship and relying heavily on their pets for companionship. The Farley Foundation helps preserve this bond and keep people and pets together.

 Kinston Mills Veterinary Hospital will be offering $20 nail trims for the entire month of October. All proceeds go directly to the Farley Foundation. If you would like to support the Farley Foundation further, donations can be made directly to them via the link provided below.
