Mexico Spay/Neuter Initiative 2019

Lisa about her experience:

In 2019 I became involved with an organization in Mexico who accepts international volunteers to help with large scale spay/neuter campaigns in Cancun, Mexico.  I was assigned to the dog recovery room, where we trimmed nails, cleaned ears, pulled ticks, applied flea treatment, removed endo tracheal tubes and cleaned the incision area’s before the owners came in to sit with their dog.  It was a very busy few days and I helped train many local volunteers on how to properly do all of the post-op care jobs. In the 3 days in Cancun the team spayed and neutered 288 dogs and cats.
